I know that there are already package tracking apps on the Market, but none of them are really refined and they all have a simple, bare-bones design. So I thought I would make a spruced up one. This is just an UI concept. Maybe I will make yet another package tracking app or one of the current ones will want to buy my concept to spruce their app up.
You can view more screenshots and read more about the concept here: [link]
Really nice and pratical design. You tried it with light or even white fonts on Packages and Package screen? Or maybe lighten up the background. You know, in real life it might be too dark becouse of screen vs sun etc.
White text wouldn't work well at all. Bright light from the sun would only wash out the white text and make it more difficult to read.
Again, with this design and with my others, people seem to like them as is. Once they are made into apps, then we'll see how things look in real time use. If changes need to be made I will make them.
Yeah, you know its always diffrent on device screen and diffrent when you watching it on pc screen. So its always important to check things in real life combat. Cheers and props for good work, i really diggin your projects and i learned couple of things ; )
they key is that less is more. some of the apps you find either do too much or not nearly enough when it comes to their designs.
I personally don't like it when a dev just ports an iphone app to android with the same iOS look. if you make an android app, then take a little extra time to give it some sort of resemblance of android in the design. or, if you do your designing right, you can come up with a clean design that has elements of both.
Maybe they both can be used. The box icon for the app itself and the truck/barcode icon for a separate service that acts more like a shortcut from the home screen that takes you directly to the barcode scanning function of the app.

I like the app icon, but I could also see a simplified version of the splash screen box being a good fit.
